We all live in a house
be it rented, owned, bequeathed, or borrowed.
I hope that we all love to take care of the house that we live in
either by yourself, help, or indulging in a paid-service
The point, I hope, is that you love to live and return to a clean space.

Some folks require their guests to remove their shoes before entering into their space/house
Others remove their shoes, before entering someone’s home, as a sign of courtesy, respect, or habit
Yet some do so as a religious belief.

God told Moses to remove his shoes because the ground he was standing on was holy ground.

There is a reason for why some require that their guests take off their shoes before stepping in.
Whatever that reason is, it’s for you to give and for the guests to abide by.

You are The House

Now, imagine yourself as The House.
Wouldn’t you want others to respect you, The House,
Keep it clean and better, pick up after themselves every time they visit
Not leave Your House chaotic with clothes, socks, toys littered everywhere, yard unkempt?

Trim and tend your garden/yard
Make it peaceful to rest and reside in
Provide an aura of tranquillity
Free from worry, stress, or shenanigans?
Such that passersbys would imagine
What it is like inside Your House and desire to come in?

Ponder on that for a moment

He wants to reside with you

We know that the Most High God does not dwell in temples made with hands
And God told David that he could not build him a house to dwell in because, as much as He (God) loves David, his hands were filled with blood. (David was a powerful and victorious warrior and almost all his fights were sanctioned by God!) Yet God didn’t want the same hands to build him a place to live in. Selah

Is God contradicting himself? No way, God forbid.

But rather that He, God, desires a clean and peaceful place to reside.

Tend Your House for Him

Have you made
Or are you making Your House
A place for the Most High to dwell in.
A place free of litters of the world (jealousy, envy, backstabbing, backbiting, adultery, fornication, lies, and the likes).
A calm peaceful place because God is not in the noises
And because your temple (house) is
The temple of The Living God
Whose temple you are.

Choose today to rid your House
Of filth
And sanctify it fit
For The Most High
To dwell with you.

You are The House

You are God’s House

Keep The House meticulously clean.
