The contest had 8 star contestants with 4 stars having 26 points in the first round. Dame emerged the overall tie breaker winner with another 26 points, edging out Trae Young (24) and Karl Anthony-Towns (22) in the final round.

Steph vs. Sabrina

The much anticipated 3-Point contest between Sabrina Ionescu, WNBA New York Liberty guard and first-time WNBA Starry 3-Point winner, and Step Curry, NBA Golden State Warriors guard and three-time NBA Starry 3-Point winner was all it was meant to be and more.

Not only did Sabrina make Steph nervous, but she also had an almost perfect start and scored as much as the NBA Starry 3-Point contestants. Thus making Steph even more nervous.

But a champ is always a champ. And having done it thrice, I believe that Steph knew just what to do.

It was a cool fun contest which I hope will continue for future All Stars weekends.

I was turn between who to route for: Sabrina, a bold strong young lady or Steph, my fave team guard. They are also both locals which makes it even harder. When faced with such dilemma, you simply say: “may the best 3-pointer person win!’ 😊

As you may already know, Steph won.
