The mere fact that a strong woman is identified as a Christian often boxes her up and opens her up to more criticisms than if she were unknown or tagged as a Christian.
We all are so quick to judge particularly when there’s a label on a person. For example, she’s a teacher, a principal, the bank manager, etc. and a Christian – Christians don’t do this, Christians don’t do that!
Moving on …
- Strength Source:
A strong woman draws strength from her inner resilience, determination, and self-reliance. She may have overcome various challenges through her own perseverance and resourcefulness.
A Strong Christian Woman, in addition to inner strength, derives her strength from her faith in God. She believes that her strength comes from God’s grace and power working within her, guiding her through challenges and empowering her to overcome obstacles.
- Guiding Principles:
A Strong Woman is guided by her personal values, and may prioritize independence, self-expression, and equality. She may advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of women in all spheres of life.
A Strong Christian Woman, along with personal values, adheres to biblical principles and teachings. She seeks to live a life that reflects the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ, following moral and ethical standards outlined in the Bible.
- Approach to Challenges:
When faced with challenges, a strong woman may rely on her own resilience, problem-solving skills, and support networks to overcome obstacles. She may view challenges either as a window of escape or as opportunities for personal growth and learning.
A strong Christian woman approaches challenges with faith and prayer, trusting in God’s guidance and provision. The provision is not in doing nothing, but in believing that God will crown her efforts with success. She believes that God can work all things for good and relies on prayer and scripture to navigate difficulties with grace, perseverance, and patience.
- Identity and Purpose:
A strong woman often defines her identity and purpose based on her achievements, goals, and aspirations. She may seek fulfillment through personal and professional accomplishments.
While accomplishments are important, a strong Christian woman primarily finds her identity and purpose in her relationship with God. She sees herself as a beloved child of God, called to love and serve others according to God’s will and purpose for her life.
5.. Community and Support:
A strong woman may rely on various support networks, including friends, family, mentors, and professional connections, for encouragement and assistance.
A strong Christian woman, in addition to earthly support networks, finds strength and support in her faith community. She values fellowship with other believers, finding encouragement, accountability, and spiritual guidance within her church community or other Christians.
- Values and Virtues:
A strong woman may value traits such as independence, resilience, assertiveness, and self-confidence. She may strive to embody these qualities in her personal and professional life.
A strong Christian woman prioritizes spiritual virtues such as love, forgiveness, compassion, humility, and integrity in addition to her personal virtues. She seeks to emulate the character of Jesus Christ and live out these virtues in her relationships and interactions with others.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13 KJV
Both women possess inner resilience and determination, their sources of strength, guiding principles, approaches to challenges, and values however differ based on their beliefs and worldview.
One’s basis is often an “I” and “self” versus “God” and “others” emphasis. “I did it all by myself” forgetting that God enabled her to do it. Without the breath and enablement, we can do nothing.
Conclusion
It’s better to be one than the other.
