Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors (GSW), Kevin Durant (KD) of Phoenix Suns, and LeBron James (LBJ) of the Los Angeles Lakers (LAL) are all out of the Playoffs! The GOATs of the NBA have checked out and have been displaced by their younger counterparts. Now what?
With these three, and their Teams out, the remainder of the Playoffs is anyone’s guess at this time. It has become a shocking surprise and makes the Championship a guessing game. Who takes home Larry has equally become a mystery. The younger players are making (and have made) a BIG show of their talents, and rightfully so, challenging the GOATs in every aspects of the game. It seems that experience is no longer enough to win basketball games. Speed, agility, eye-like-an-eagle, and three-pointers have all combined to be game changers.
Kudos to Anthony Edwards
Kudos to Anthony Edwards of Minnesota Timberwolves. He must be a superpower of sorts to have challenged and ousted the likes of his “hero” Kevin Durant and Devin Booker! Just noticed that their names (Kevin and Devin) rhyme too. 😊 Of course, it was a team effort, but the feisty lad was all over the courts, he was all laughters, and still didn’t look tired at the end. He’s definitely one of the next faces of the League. And looks like KD just handed the baton to him.
Here’s wishing Timberwolves’ Coach Chris Finch a speedy recovery. The Coach was accidentally knocked down while standing on the sideline at the last game. Call it a “friendly fire!” if you will. But, seriously, I wish him well. I’m sure that his players/Team need him much more now.
And Jamal Murray was made for this!
The Los Angeles Lakers fought fiercely, but Denver Nuggets, the defending Champions, proved who they are. Defending Champions! Jamal Murray’s last minute buzzer shot won and saved the game from going into overtime and/or from making Lakers the game winner. He did it twice in the series.
Could LeBron be handing the baton to him, or is he gonna hand it to Anthony Davis? Time will tell.
Both Timberwolves and Nuggets face-off for Round Two of the Playoffs. It’s sure to be 🔥🔥🔥 and a must-watch.
Congrats to OKC, too
Oklahoma City Thunder swooped Pelicans. Congrats to OKC Team, and particularly the trio of SGA (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander), Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren. They can now enjoy the extra day(s) rest and recuperate while waiting for their Round Two Playoff opponent of the winner between Dallas and Clippers’ playoff currently at 2-2.
Injury List
Meanwhile, the injury list, which includes Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokunmpko, Dame Lillard, Kris Middleton might have entered the list, too, New Orlean Pelican’s Zion (though his Team was swooped and out yesterday), New York Knicks’ Julius Randle, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, continues to grow. The key players out have definitely given their opponents an undue advantage in my opinion. Makes me nervous that the Playoff might soon be over for these Teams, entering into Game 5 of the series, if none recovers to save their respective Teams. Sure, other players have stepped up and carried extra loads and added pressures, but unfortunately, it hasn’t been enough to pull these Teams through.
Well, Well, Well
The Playoffs continue to be exciting; even super exciting. And the Championship is bound to be even much more.
Each game going forward becomes more exciting, fiercer, and challenging. Think-Talk will continue to watch and bring you updates.
Who really knows. We know that he’d like to play on the same team with his son, Bronny Jr. Hopefully Jr. will be drafted later this year and LBJ can get his wish.
No doubt, LeBron has proven that he is as good a baller as any 20-year old.
Thanks for visiting, reading, and commenting. Much appreciated.

I was beyond bummed about LeBron being out. He will not be playing much longer. I give it maybe one more year !

Yep 😞 LBJ and AD did their best, but I guess Nuggets was just better all-round!
