Learn about witchcraft not to fear it but to understand how it operates today.
We’re continuing the post on witchcraft. In Part I, we listed the forms and effects if witchcraft. The forms of witchcraft listed are merely the common ones and not limited in any sense. The Spirit of God is the greatest discerner of all forms of witchcraft.
This, Part II, will take us into protecting and preventing, including how to be delivered from witchcraft. Let’s delve into
Why Awareness Is Key
Witchcraft thrives in secrecy, and people often dismiss its presence due to lack of knowledge. By educating ourselves on what witchcraft looks like, we can better guard our lives and prevent occurrences that can bring harm.
Please note that privacy does not equate secrecy. (a post for another day)
Awareness is our best defense against witchcraft. Awareness helps us recognize patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed, protecting us from manipulation and harm.
Here are practical steps to protect yourself:
Steps for Protection and Prevention
1. Stand Firm in Your Faith and Values:
Christianity teaches that strong faith acts as a shield. Knowing your beliefs and being anchored in your faith can help you recognize when someone is trying to plant doubt.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: ...”
Joshua 1:8 KJV
Regular prayer, including praying in tongues, meditation, and daily Bible reading and devotion can help protect against negative influences, protect you from deception. and strengthen your connection to the truth so that it becomes your foundation.
2. Seek Truth in, and Guard, Your Relationships:
“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, …?”
Galatians 3:1 KJV
Be selective with whom you allow into your inner circle. Ensure that those around you share your values and don’t hold ill intentions or practices that could harm you spiritually or emotionally.
“and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32 KJV
If you find yourself constantly questioning someone’s intentions, trust your instincts. Healthy relationships are built on openness, not confusion or manipulation. Surround yourself with people who are transparent and align with your values.
“Buy the truth, and sell it not; ...”
Proverbs 23:23a KJV
3. Be Mindful of Your Words and Thoughts:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Proverbs 18:21 KJV
Focus on, and use, positive words. This helps strengthen your mental resilience, making it harder for negativity to take root. Speak words of life, not just for yourself but for your family, friends, and spaces.
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
Ephesians 4:29 KJV
4. Seek Guidance and Embrace Knowledge and Understanding:
“… the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.”
Proverbs 18:15b KJV
The more you learn about witchcraft’s methods—especially its reliance on lies and confusion—the better prepared you’ll be to recognize its influence.
Knowledge truly is power. Knowledge enables us to see through falsehoods, stay centered in the truth, and make empowered decisions. Learn about witchcraft not to fear it but to understand how it operates today. With this understanding, you’ll be better equipped to protect yourself.
“The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: ...”
Proverbs 15:14a KJV
5. Practice Discernment: Discernment is a spiritual gift (1 Corinthians 12:10). The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Lies can be subtle, so learning to discern truth from deception is crucial. This might mean double-checking information, asking for clarity, or setting boundaries with people who repeatedly sow doubt or fear in your life. Most importantly, your discernment will sharpen by reading the Bible. By so doing, you will know the truth and refuse to buy any lies being presented to you no matter how good it looks.
In conclusion, today’s world of witchcraft may look like superstition, but witchcraft isn’t about visible curses or spells but rather the invisible snares of lies, deceit, manipulation, and confusion. Its impact is undeniable.
We all have the power to protect ourselves, but it begins with awareness. When we recognize these tactics, we take the first steps toward liberation, guarding ourselves and our loved ones from manipulation and spiritual harm. Again, knowledge is power, and with it, we can ensure a stronger, spiritually protected life. Let’s commit to knowledge and truth—because in this lies the power to live freely and securely, fully grounded in what’s real.
Let’s also empower ourselves by recognizing it for what it is, guarding our homes, minds, and lives from the harmful effects of those who might seek to do us harm.
Healing and Deliverance from Witchcraft
Healing and Deliverance are the children’s bread. If you’re experiencing any symptoms of witchcraft, know that help is available and you can be delivered from it.
Repent of knowingly (or unknowingly) dabbling in witchcraft and ask God to forgive you. The key to repentance is turning from one thing (here, witchcraft) and on to another (Jesus).
Get yourself a Bible, start reading especially from the New Testament, and specifically the Book of John. I pray that the Holy Spirit reveals the rhema behind the logos to you in Jesus’s Name.
In addition, pray and ask God to lead you to a faith church.
Cultivate the heart of praise and worship. You don’t always have to be in church to praise or worship.
Draw near to God snd He will draw near to you. (James 4:8)
