Today’s prompt:
Who are your favorite people to be around?

Thank you for today’s prompt. I couldn’t ignore it as it’s one so dear to my heart.

If the prompt had stated: your favorite person … I would have chosen the Holy Spirit as I love being around and spending time with Him. My favorite people to be around would have been God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. But, God is not a “people” or “person.” As such, I cannot choose the Three. Semantics? Maybe. 😊

My Family

Candidly, though, my favorite people to be around is my family. I’m a family-oriented person. Generally speaking, I love people. But I love my family more; especially my immediate family. I strongly believe that family is next, in the hierarchy of orders, after God.

Love Language

My love language is quality time. As such, I love spending quality time with my family, especially my daughters. No money or gift, in my opinion, can make for or outspend quality time together with my favorite people.

Be it quiet moments together or quick breakfast or nice dinner or getaways, nothing beats time spent with my favorite people.

An 8-second hug, that releases the cries suppressed, is cathartic. Laughter together. Unvoiced concerns melt away to answers that seem to be just waiting for you to get into the presence of my favorite people. Problems find solutions just being together. It seems so divine and nothing compares to spending time with my favorite people. Every year as we grow older, those precious moments become more meaningful. I cherish them.
