Hello all, hope your day is going great. It’s Friday and while some still will be grinding, others have put in their 40 hours (or more) and are looking forward to a restful or fun weekend. Whatever you’re doing, make it fun – have fun working or have fun resting. While you do, enjoy these photos that I took on my walk this morning at the “Hawaiian Island” of Long Beach in California. I’ve previously walked this beach a few times. But, today, I paused to enjoy it and smell the roses.

Well, the “8th Island” doesn’t have roses. But the palm trees, swaying and synchronizing with your every step, welcome you to a cool breezy day of walk (or jog or biking). The Sun was out shining bright and I got some beautiful shots as well. On reviewing those shots, I muttered “why haven’t I done it sooner?!” Look at the second right photo – it’s the Sun and another; though I know not what; piggybacking on Seb’s The Crescent Moon and Venus?

What about those staircases? Whoever said staircases had to be plain Joe? Which is your favorite? I would walk those 8th Island stairs all day long and not be tired. I could bring along my lunch sandwich and take a serene break on them, too. What else do you think would be great to do on those staircases?
