All is well in love and peace, including Art Shows; especially when it is your daughter’s very first. It makes it extra specially in love and peace and joy. I can’t say how proud I am of this resilient young lady who is a chip off her old block, indeed. I don’t always admit that, though. [a post for another day 😊]

Which brings me to say that when God gives you (or your sons/daughters) a vision, whether you (or they) know God or not, or don’t know that He gave it to you (or them) because you (or they) don’t know Him yet, it is always good to (allow them) run with it . Sharing with naysayers can only let one miss the opportunistic divine outcome of the vision. Not that the naysayers often meant that to happen, but that the vision was not meant for them, so they are not going to see the future in your vision. If anything, they’ll see everything, including the kitchen sink, that will not work.

I couldn’t see my daughter’s vision and didn’t understand why she would want to ditch her architectural career to start afresh in the artist world. My walk with God, however, finally though reluctantly made me to entrust her and the process unto His hands. He partially revealed a bit. But, not enough to confidently put me at ease. I had many sleepless nights that my heart ached. My daughter had many nights of rice and beans; some nights with veggies; some nights without. 😊 I cried some, but not in her presence. Some days I’ll joke about her rice and beans and even asked if she wanted me to bring her some. She took it all in her stride. “It’s okay, Momma. This is what I want.” I will reply: “Okay, I’ll be praying for you. I don’t want to be the one to kill your vision.”

She disciplined herself – barely socialized – she was super focused. Not to mention a few earlier projects that botched and didn’t produce her desired outcomes. Still, she persevered.
But, yesterday, I witnessed the vision unfold. I’m sure that it’s still unfolding and yet more to come.
Enjoy the photos, including the other two artists, Francesca and K’era, below.

Above all, it was a beautiful show. Well organized; not crowd, and movement in and out was smooth. Many thanks to the sponsors, Sovern, who put it together.
Show will run till May 8th. Visit in person or online and do please support the artists. Thank you.
