Congratulations to the Oklahoma City Thunder on winning the franchise’s first ever championship. What the trio of KD, RW, and JH couldn’t fulfill during their time, the young trio of SGA, JW, and CH got done in 2025. The City and franchise’s being waiting long enough for this.

A lot was observed. Much can be said and written about the team, and its finals opponent – the Indiana Pacers. The two teams are young, fierce, fearless, determined, and capable of winning. They proved it during the Series. While Indiana came from the back to remain the number 3 seed and forging their way to being the Eastern Conference champs, OKC held on to its Western Conference numero uno into the Finals.

Like SGA stated, “competition ain’t fear sometimes.” Talent, skill, nor speed often is not enough when God has spoken. Or so, it seemed. Because shortly into the start of the game did Pacer’s guard Tyrese Haliburton fell, wrenching in pain on the court, only to be carried off add not to return. What a sight it was – every basketballer’s nightmare, his achilles was torn!

His team played their hardest to continue – “fighting for Tyrese,” but OKC’s lead grew bigger.

And so the forty-eight-minute game, which felt like eternity, came to an end. OKC won their first ever franchise championship.

And, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) won the Finals MVP in addition to the Season’s MVP; honors that only a handful of NBA players have won.

On to the next Season … Congratulations once again to OKC and SGA.

We wish Tyrese Haliburton a speedy recovery and the very best.
