I’m in awe of God
And His awesome wonders.
The Creator of the universe
In whom there’s no end
Rich in glory and abundance
He owns the cattle on the fields
The grass, the land, the sea and ocean
Everything on earth and under the waters.
From the rising of the sun
To its setting
From the still ocean so calm
Yet can uproar
And overflow its banks
To the stars that shine at night
But disappear at dawn
From humanity
Spread across the continents
Each with its own language
Yet not understanding each other
But have a common language
Of love divine, should they choose
From gendered species
Male and female
You created them both
From the rich to the wealthy
In whom there’s no lack
Yet some are lonely, lack true love good health, suffer in isolation, and from such things that money buy not
Still, among the abundance, the poor and homeless still reside
Not knowing what to eat, nor what to put on, nor where to lay their heads at night
From families who love each other not
To those looking for families to belong to
From those who are married
Yet despise and cheat on one another
To those who yearn to find their perfect match and marry some day
From those who have children
Yet complain of them everyday
To those who desperately desire the fruit of the womb
Yet cannot
From those who have jobs
Yet are unhappy with the job
And those who need great jobs with work-life balances
To those looking for jobs, works, anything just to do to bring in that income
From business owners who have poured in their souls, sweat, and lifetime savings
Yet the business went under
To those who have successfully left legacies
Only for it to fall into the wrong hands to squander them
Let our narratives
Align with Your Story, oh God.
From the rising of the sun
To its setting
Yet there’s still nothing new under the sun
And You’re still good, God
And I’m so in awe of You
Your Name alone still, and forever, be glorified.
