Artificial intelligence (AI) is great. I have recently warmed up to it more. I acknowledge though that there are still some aspects of AI that I am slow to explore because I presume that it’s “scary.”

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping our world in profound ways, revolutionizing industries, transforming daily life, and raising important ethical and societal questions. From virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa to self-driving cars, AI is becoming increasingly integrated into our lives, offering convenience, efficiency, and innovation. However, with these advancements come concerns about job displacement, privacy infringement, and algorithmic biases.

And a day like today are times when I feel that we are asking for chaos / pandemonium the farther we go into AI. I have experienced some issues that I cannot tell the what or why it happened.

1. The WordPress Issue

I’ve been emailing back-and-forth with WordPress Happiness Engineers. The more I respond to their emails, the more I think that I might be dealing with AI/Chapgpt or Siri. For real. I’m being told that I have a free site. I converted to a Creator plan last year. Prior to that, I was on a Premium Plan. I was still expecting a response from the Happiness Engineers to clarify the issue so I can make a financial decision whether to continue with the Creator Plan or not. But, the second year’s fee got charged a week ago anyways and without responding to my concern.

If I’m being told that I’m on a free plan, the question becomes “who received the $300.”

But rather than get a human being to talk to/with and instantly resolve the issue, we’re ping-ponging on email. And I’m wondering if a real being is actually responding.

(Stop Press: as I was writing this post, I received emails on this issue. Why now and not prior? Why was my email request ignored till now? Why did I receive two separate emails (one before the renewal and the other after the renewal) telling me that I was on a free plan? It’s another reason to deduce that “someone” (technology, Ai, or something) is in the background watching …) 🤔. But please let not the watching be to create a mental confusion but to help correct issues!

Human Beings

Human beings can never be replaced. But, we have geniuses trying to replicate humans to their greatest potentials.

Just as there are good and bad in human beings, we will experience both in the Artificial Intelligences. I love the idea of streamlining for efficiency sake. But, please let’s not create more chaos.

What do you do when some gadget is prying on you, blocking your emails from being sent or received thereby confusing you and negatively portraying you to the would-be recipients, or a robot goes haywire and starts to destroy the things or people it was supposed to aid, etc?

Please don’t get me wrong. I’m glad for technology. I love the intelligent minds that are behind it. But, we still need human beings along with AI.
